This camera system consists of dual stacked CPU boxes and ST-5 camera head.   The unique dual stacked CPU boxes were first introduced to make the CCD heads for the prior ST-4 (TC-211) and ST-5 (TC-255) cameras common to one set of electronics with the new ST-6 (TC-241).  In this configuration, the same electronics could control all three camera heads, making an upgrade path available for those with the 8-bit ST-4 to a 14-bit ST-4X, and those with an ST-4X or ST-5 to a 16-bit ST-6 by just addition of a new head.  In this system, the smaller ST-5 head with 10u pixels, smaller FOV and faster download times is best for planetary imaging and also often used as a highly sensitive guider.   The camera communicates with the PC via a serial port.   Price for this item is $175.00
